OABA Election Results!
The election results are as follows:
Rick Johnson was re-elected as Treasurer with 61 votes.
Joe Osborn was re-elected as a Director-at-Large with 51 votes.
Kaye Sanderson was newly elected as a Director-at-Large with 40 votes.
The vote to approve the by-laws change was 60 yes votes, 2 no votes, and 1 abstention. However, we did not reach the minimum necessary threshold of having 2/3rds of the membership vote in the election (only 63 ballots were returned), so the approval of the revisions to the by-laws can not be instituted. The board is discussing how to best deal with this outcome.
We are also announcing that Earl Klay has been appointed by the board of directors to fill in the remaining year of office of OABA Secretary for Neil Perin, who found it necessary to withdraw from the board due to time conflicts. We wish Neil well in the future, and welcome Earl to the board!
ALPACAFEST THANKS ITS VOLUNTEERS!
