Education Committee
Education Committee's Purpose
- Plan the educational programs for AlpacaFest.
- Prepare informational text on alpacas to be used by announcers as "fill-in" at AlpacaFest.
- Prepare 2 articles per year for the OABA News Flash on the web site.
- Coordinate any OABA education-related programs.
- Responsible for supplying information, photos, etc. to the Web master for updating of the "AlpacaFest" portion of the OABA web site.
Fiber Committee
Fiber Committee's Purpose
- Responsible for the entire fleece show at AlpacaFest, including set-up and tear-down.
- Work on Fiber promotional events (1 per year, if possible).
- Coordinate any OABA fiber-related programs.

Fundraising Committee
Fundraising Committee's Purpose

Coordinate all activities for raffles.

Plan the annual banquet/fundraiser.

Implement any other fundraising activities during the year.

Apply for available AOBA or other grants.

Long Range Planning Committee
Long Range Planning Committee's Purpose
The mission of the Long Range Planning Committee is to keep an eye toward the future. Our goal is to project the needs of the Ohio Alpaca industry as it grows and changes. We will attempt to to look out to three, five, and ten year ranges. We will identify percieved changes; we will prioritize concepts and make recommendations to OABA in order to help grow the Alpaca industry here in Ohio.

Marketing Committee
Marketing Mission:
Educate the public about the unique benefits of Ohio Alpaca ownership and the availability of Ohio Alpaca Products.
Promote OABA membership and provide marketing benefits to the OABA membership.
Marketing Committee's Purpose
Marketing Goals:
· Create a web site area to provide members with marketing information and resources to promote their farms
· Coordinate Advertising for AlpacaFest
· Construct AlpacaFest survey for attendees and tally results
· Coordinate SVS sales for AlpacaFest
Membership Committee
Membership Committee's Purpose

Maintain record of members, market for new members.

Assemble a membership packet of information for prospective and new members.

Updates to Membership Directory; arrange for posting to News Flash on OABA web site.

Responsible for OABA display. Includes storage, arranging for transportation to, set-up, tear-down, and transportation from designated events.

Nominating Committee's Purpose
- Responsible for soliciting nominations for candidates for Board of Directors positions.
Public Relations Chairman Committee
Public Relations Chairman Committee's Purpose
Public Relations:
- Provide media with ideas/press releases for coverage of state wide events and state wide interest sto
- Coordinate opportunities for regional farms to tie into community events and county CVB’s.
- Write and submit Monthly “Paca Pointers” for the website-tips on how to market your business
